WEICHERT, REALTORS® - Mazzeo Agency was founded by Jim Mazzeo in 2001.
Jim Mazzeo is a native New Yorker who started in the real estate business in 1974.
Jim Mazzeo has been selling condos, co-ops and buildings in Manhattan since 1982.
WEICHERT, REALTORS® was founded by Jim Weichert in 1969. He started the company
in Chatham, NJ in 1969 with one office and had grown to one of the largest real
estate companies in the United States by the year 2000. Mr. Weichert wanted to go
nationwide and to do that he created Weichert affiliates and began to sell franchises
across the United States.
Jim Mazzeo recognized this as an opportunity to give both consumers and his agents
the best of both worlds. Combine a very experienced local organization with a national
chain. Allow consumers and agents alike the ability to reap the benefits of a national
chain while still getting all the services and experience of a local operation.
WEICHERT, REALTORS® - Mazzeo Agency is the largest and most successful franchise
in New York City with over 50 full-time professional agents. We consistently rank
in the top ten of Weichert franchises nationwide out of more than 350 offices. Our
top agent was awarded the honor of top Weichert agent in the United States in 2007.
